Information for Airlines

Understanding how OALO handles pilot logbook data from email imports.

Key Point for Airlines

OALO is a personal pilot logbook tool. We do not access, store, or share any airline operational data, proprietary information, or company systems. Pilots use OALO independently to maintain their personal flight records as required by aviation regulations.

What Data We Store

When pilots forward their verified flight emails to OALO, we extract and store only the following personal logbook information:

  • Flight date and times - Off-block, on-block, airborne, landed times
  • Route information - Departure and arrival airport codes
  • Aircraft details - Registration and type
  • Flight number - For personal reference only
  • Block and flight time - Duration calculations
  • Crew names - PIC/SIC names for logbook purposes

What We Do NOT Store

OALO explicitly does not collect or store:

  • Passenger information or load data
  • Fuel figures or performance data
  • Operational messages or company communications
  • Crew scheduling or rostering data beyond what appears in personal logbooks
  • Any proprietary airline operational information
  • Flight planning data or route details beyond airport codes

Data Security & Privacy

We take data security seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We are fully GDPR compliant
  • Pilots can export or delete their data at any time
  • We never sell or share personal data with third parties
  • Access is restricted to the individual pilot only

Regulatory Compliance

Pilots are required by EASA Part-FCL (FCL.050) and UK CAA regulations to maintain personal flight time records. OALO provides a digital solution that meets these regulatory requirements while ensuring data remains personal and private.

The information stored is equivalent to what pilots would record in a traditional paper logbook - nothing more, nothing less.
